Upcycled Textile Composite Products
A Growing Waste Problem
Globally, tens of millions of tonnes of textiles are discarded every year. Most of these materials are blended, contaminated, or low in value, making them difficult to recycle using conventional methods. As a result, the majority are sent to landfill or incinerated, despite their embedded material and energy value.
The challenge is not a lack of textile waste — it is a lack of viable, scalable end uses.
A Different Approach
Instead of attempting to turn waste textiles back into fabric, Textrala reclaims them as a raw material. Using proprietary consolidation processes, we transform textile waste into dense, stable composite materials that preserve texture, colour, and history while delivering durability and repeatability.
These materials are designed for real products — not experiments.
From Discarded to Desired
Textrala materials can be used to create a range of objects, from home décor and functional accessories to furniture components and architectural elements. Early products are intentionally simple and manufacturable, allowing us to learn, refine, and scale responsibly.
What begins as waste becomes a material platform.
Textrala upcycles waste textiles into unique products.
Turning Reclaimed Textiles into Durable, Design-Forward Materials
Textrala transforms post-consumer and industrial textile waste into molded composite materials for décor, architectural, and specialty applications.
We are currently in active material development and prototyping, working with early partners to validate performance, aesthetics, and scalable manufacturing processes.
We’re engaging select partners across design, manufacturing, and architecture.
